=== Introducción ===

Soy Profesor Asociado de la [[http://www.ugto.mx/|Universidad de Guanajuato]], trabajando en el Departamento de Ingeniería Electrónica, y miembro Nivel I del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) de México. Mi grupo de investigación es el [[http://laviria.org/|Laboratorio de Visión, Robótica e Inteligencia Artificial]]. Me enfoco en planificación y control para robots móviles utilizando teoría de la información.

Antes de unirme a la UGto, fui investigador postdoctoral en el [[http://www.reef.ufl.edu/|Research, Engineering and Education Facility (REEF)]] de la [[http://www.ufl.edu/|Universidad de Florida]] en Shalimar, FL.

Recibí el grado de Doctorado en Ingeniería Eléctrica por parte de la [[https://www.utdallas.edu/|Universidad  de Texas en Dallas]], donde fui miembro del [[https://labs.utdallas.edu/service/| Laboratorio de Sensado, Robótica, Visión, Control y Estimación (SeRViCE Lab, por sus siglas en inglés.)]].

Anterior a esto, obtuve los grados de Maestría en Ingeniería Eléctrica y Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Comunicaciones y Electrónica por parte de la Universidad de Guanajuato.

I'm an Associate Professor at the [[http://www.ugto.mx/|University of Guanajuato]], working in the Department of Electronics Engineering, and a Level I member of the National Researchers System (SNI, in Spanish) of Mexico. My research group is the [[http://laviria.org/|Vision, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory]]. My main focus is information-theoretical planning and control for mobile robots.

Prior to joining the faculty at UGto, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the [[http://www.reef.ufl.edu/|Research, Engineering and Education Facility (REEF)]] of the [[http://www.ufl.edu/|University of Florida]] in Shalimar, FL.

I received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from [[https://www.utdallas.edu/|The University of Texas at Dallas]], where I was a member of the [[https://labs.utdallas.edu/service/|Sensing, Robotics, Vision, Control and Estimation Laboratory (SeRViCE Lab)]].

Previously, I received the Master and Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato, Mexico.
